Throughout your career, there will be several occasions in which you will need to ace an interview in order to clinch a new job. Job interviews are always tricky, as you want it all to be just perfect. You want to communicate clearly all your work experience, but you can't be too detailed or carry on too long either. For any question, a factual response isn't enough. You have to engage the interviewer with stories that make the facts persuasive. When you're interviewing for senior-level positions, the hiring manager is looking for someone who communicates well, who's not going to be an embarrassment at a board meeting, and who can lead and inspire his or her staff. Always craft your answers by answering what the challenge was you faced, what action did you take and what was the result.

Asking quality questions
Many people undervalue the importance of asking some good quality questions during the interview process. Besides this being an opportunity to find out more about the company and position, it also offers you an opportunity to impress. Good questions to ask include finding out about the history of the position, what the hiring manager would like a new employee to accomplish in the position, and the strengths of the current team.
